In late March, Vital Strategies hosted its first compliance webinar for TREAT TB partners and STREAM trial sites as part of a monthly webinar series. The webinar series focuses on grants management topics important for compliance and sustainability of our partners and sites. Webinar attendees joined from around the world, and included accounting, finance, and grants staff working on the TREAT-TB Program. Among those who joined the webinar were STREAM trial sites in Ethiopia and India, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp, Medical Research Council, and Yale University.
Led by Vital Strategies’ Grants Manager Angel Ling, and co-presented with Grants Officer Racquel Enad, the first compliance webinar covered financial and foreign tax reporting requirements. Attendees reviewed upcoming changes to financial reporting requirements, single audit requirement, and foreign tax reporting. To watch a recording of this webinar, please click here.
The goal of the compliance webinar series is to build TREAT TB partners’ and sites’ capacity for managing USAID grants and complying with US Government regulations. Each month, a new topic related to grants management and compliance will be covered.
The next monthly webinar, “Selected Standard Provisions” is scheduled for Thursday, April 30 at 9:30am EST. The webinar will be covering USAID requirements with respect to debarment checks and suspension checks, as well as preventing terrorist financing.
